What it Takes to Get Beach Body Ready


Muscle BeachIt’s starting to get a little warmer and a little sunnier. As you start to plan your trips to the beach, do you have what it takes to get your beach body?

In short, yes you do.

What it will take to earn your beach body this year is a little clarity, a little planning, a little dedication, and a little discipline.

It’s March and we’re getting closer to that time of the year where the world starts to warm up, the sun comes out a little more, and clothes get a little more revealing.

it’s also time to start kicking it into high gear and start planning and earning your beach body.

As you start making your way to your favorite beach destinations, we want you to do it with confidence. The way to do that is to start planning.

There isn’t a better way to start the planning process than with a little visualization. Take some time to see yourself as you want to be. It’s okay to visualize and often times it’s the easiest and most fun part of getting the beach body you want.

While you visualize, connect with how it feels to have your beach body? What do you look like? What are you wearing? Can you feel your toes in the sand, the wind in your hair, hear the sound of the waves on the shore? Get really clear on your vision.

Now that you are getting in the spirit of things, the next thing to do is plan how you’re going to get your beach body. The best way to start is to know when you are going on your trip. Begin by asking yourself, “When am I going to go to the beach?”

Now that you have the date, start working backwards from your trip to today. Whether you have 3 months or 3 weeks, now is the time to figure out what it is going to take to get there.

You may have to start a new workout plan, or you may have to start eating a little better. Most of the time it’s a combination of both. But what do you need to start doing today to get you that beach body for tomorrow?

Whether you’ve decided that you need to workout, cut out snacks a few times a week, and maybe only have cocktails on the weekend, do one thing: stick to your plan. That takes a little discipline which can be a little uncomfortable at first. But hold yourself accountable. Do what you said would do to get your beach body.

The last thing you need to do is check-in with yourself. The best way to check-in with yourself is taking photos, stepping on a scale, checking your body-fat, and looking at a food chart. Compare where you are to where you started. Are you getting closer to your ideal beach body? If yes, then keep going and stay disciplined. If no, then reevaluate and figure out where you can improve.

And when you are having a tough day, always refer back to your beach body image that you created in your mind. The clearer you can make that image, the easier it is to stay disciplined and motivated to achieve it.

The rules are simple. Use them and take those steps towards your beach body. Once you’ve achieved your ideal beach body, what else can you achieve using this planning process?

So start now. Create a vision, start a plan and stay dedicated to that vision. Earn the beach body that you deserve today.
