How much space do you need when it comes to working out at home?

Do you dedicate a room, an entire garage, or a corner in your bedroom to getting your workouts done? What’s the adequate amount of space for you?

Before you start thinking about adding a home extension for all your workout needs, keep in mind the average yoga mat is 2 ft. x 6 ft. It’s not very big.

Now think of all the people who squeeze into a studio to do some hot yoga. They don’t need a ton of space to get their sweat on.

You don’t need that much space to get a great workout done either.

It’s okay if you don’t have all the bells and whistles of a gym. How often do you use every machine in there anyway? A backpack or some luggage filled with books can be excellent substitutes.

For those of you who want to burn fat outside of a gym, all you need is a  2 x 6 foot space, which is usually readily available just about anywhere.

Now, find your 2 ft. x 6 ft. space and get after it. You’d be surprised how much you can accomplish with so little.
